That's right, rumor has it that when Superman comes back to life for Justice League-- OOPS, SORRY, SPOILER ALERT -- he'll have taken the black. This little tidbit coming to you by way of a baseball cap that's for sale over at Superherostuff.com, which posted a spoilery description of its "exclusive" offering.
As they put it:
Superman granted us the exclusive license to make this hat!
From high-quality hat-maker New Era!
Based on Superman's post-dead appearance in the hit film, 'Justice League.'
The description goes on to say that, as in the comics, Superman wears the black suit during his time in the "regeneration matrix, a Kryptonian chamber that reversed the previously lethal effects of his protracted punch-em-up with Doomsday."
Original image has been replaced. Credit: Mashable Henry Cavill also teased the black suit on Instagram back in August, so this is just more evidence that he'll have some new threads for his big return. No telling how long he might remain the Monochromatic Man of Steel in the movie, but even a brief appearance is enough to justify merch, right?
Justice League is coming for us on Nov. 17.
