Nintendo Switch owner and future Nobel Prize winner ElmerElmer shared an ingenious setup that blew up on Twitter, blessing the world with the best idea for a gaming setup ever.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.
ElmerElmer appears to have taken their Nintendo Switch console and fixed it on an iPad mount with an long enough arm to fit comfortably over their pillow. Now they can game while lying in bed, but specifically they can game while lying in bed without needing to hold up the console or controllers.
Ever since the days of the Game Boy, people have been able to easily play games in bed with handheld consoles, but there was always the problem of needing to hold up the console which can result in poor circulation and your arms will inevitably get tired. But with the Switch's controllers, you don't need to worry about that at all.
As seen in ElmerElmer's third picture, an illustration of someone using their setup, one could detach the Joy-Con controllers from the Switch and play with their arms at their sides — there's no need for the minimal effort of holding up a controller at all.
No longer do gamers in need of absolute comfort need to go to extreme lengths like this:

And thanks to the fact that the Switch has its own built-in screen, there's no need to construct something strong enough to hold up an entire TV, and its battery means there's no need for wire management either.
Back in 2013, a gamer who goes by Samuel documented his construction of an in-bed gaming setup compatible with an Xbox 360, but it clearly took a lot of time and resources to make.

The Nintendo Switch has changed the game in terms of comfort options, as ElmerElmer pointed out on Twitter, and I'm excited to give it a shot on my next day off.
