【difference between eroticism and objectification】
This post contains spoilers for many of Bandersnatch's possible endings. Read at your own risk.
Choose-Your-Own-Adventure games often have difference between eroticism and objectificationsomething interesting to say unto themselves, but more often the path a player takes through the narrative says a lotmore about them.
Now that Netflix's Black Mirror: Bandersnatchis here, let's take a look at what the game's endings say about the people who piloted poor Stefan into their particular circle of hell.
SEE ALSO: 'Black Mirror: Bandersnatch' marks the dawn of a new era in televisionTo play: Flash back to the first ending you got in Bandersnatchand scroll down to its description. If the description doesn't precisely match your playthrough, go with the one that matches the review score Stefan's Bandersnatchreceived in your game.
Ending 1: Five stars

What happens:
Stefan kills Dad and chops up his body. Bandersnatch, completed in madness, gets 5/5 stars from the critic. Years later, Pearl Ritman attempts to remake Bandersnatchas an interactive movie for Netflix.
What it says about you:
First off, and this is sincere: Are you OK? Take a couple minutes to process what you've done to Stefan and Pearl. Done that? Great.
You're a button-pusher in both the figurative and literal sense of the word. You like knowing what makes other people tick and take special pleasure in knowing that you have the upper hand in most conversations. You can't help it, you're just clever.
The important thing here is to try and make sure you're not being mean to people, even in situations where you're right and they're wrong.
Ending 2: Death by time travel

What happens:
Stefan travels back in time to find Rabbit before leaving with his mother to his grandparents' house. They both end up on the 8:45 train, and dying as a child causes adult Stefan to spontaneously expire in Dr. Haynes' office.
What it says about you:
The mystery of Rabbit appealed to you more than anything else in "Bandersnatch," which means that interpersonal relationships and traumas matter more to you than personal achievements. You spend a lot of your time thinking about the other people in your life and they way they've impacted you, which is lovely. Except when you let it go too far.
It's very important to sort out your past issues and present relationships, but don't neglect yourself in service of other people's feelings. In a phrase — try not to set yourself on fire to keep other people warm. People-fires don't burn very long anyway.
Ending 3: Buried body

What happens:
Stefan kills Dad and buries the body. Because of various complications, including the discovery of the murder, Bandersnatchis never released.
What it says about you:
You know how in The Dark Knight, Alfred has that whole speech about people who just want to watch the world burn? That's you. You are an agent of chaos in one way or another and just couldn't help yourself from digging Stefan deeper and deeper into the shithole he found himself into.
You didn't do it because you're cruel, though. You just wanted to find out what would happen. Your curiosity has led you into a few bad situations before, but this was a safe environment for you to explore a bizarre "what if" with practically zero consequences. What a treat for you.
Ending 4: 2.5 stars

What happens:
Stefan kills Dad and buries the body. Stefan goes to prison, but Bandersnatchstill gets released and earns 2.5/5 stars from the critic.
What it says about you:
If your life had a theme song, it would be "Fix You" by Coldplay. "When you try your best/ but you don't succeed..."
It's not your fault, though. You've just hit a bit of a slump. It might feel right now that all of your best efforts aren't being recognized, but there's a new year around the corner! Button up that overcoat and try to look at things from a different perspective. Your turn is coming. Sooner than you might think. Probably.
Ending 5: Meet Mike

What happens:
Stefan is Mike, an actor in an action movie.
What it says about you:
Oh thank god, finally someone fun. You're an experimenter, someone who likes to poke around in the places they probably aren't supposed to be. Seeing that "Netflix" option pop up at the bottom of the Bandersnatchscreen was catnip for you, and following it through to discovering Stefan's true nature as a veryconfused actor named Mike was the payoff you deserved.
Some might think you're a little wacky but you just thrive on the unexpected, is all. Congrats on being one of the people who keep life interesting.
