【Karen Foster Archives】
The Karen Foster Archivespromo looks legit. The timing lines up. Keep those salt shakers handy, but it sure looks like we know when the next Samsung Unpacked event is happening.
(Update! It's real. Invites have gone out, as Mashable's Brenda Stolyar confirmed firsthand.)
The day before the news turned official, Samsung's promo for the first Unpacked event of 2020 leaked, revealing the now-confirmed Feb. 11 date. The leaked promo came courtesy of Max Weinbach, from XDA Developers. (Though Weinbach also pointed out that M. Brandon Lee found it first.)

What does it mean? Why are the two As in the word Galaxy replaced by bulges that appear to be hiding squarish – but clearly differently shaped – objects? Is this a hint of what the next Unpacked might bring, a first hint of two new devices, perhaps?
We do know for a fact that the annual Consumer Electronics Show, which officially kicks off on Jan. 7, will include some Samsung first looks. On Friday, the company confirmed the existence of an S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite. The press release was somewhat light on details, but it did confirm that both devices will make an appearance at CES.
But there's also more that hasn't been officially revealed. A Galaxy S11 reveal is surely coming at some point, and it's much more likely to happen at a standalone event than at a circus like CES, since Samsung would no doubt want its new flagship smartphone reveal to own a news cycle. We might have even gotten a recent hint of what the S11 could look like from a new pair of mid-range phones the company released in Vietnam.

Samsung's Galaxy S11+ could beat it.There was also a report that surfaced shortly after Christmas, suggesting that there's a Galaxy Tab S6 tablet coming, complete with a 5G compatible model. That leak reportedly originated from an accidental posting on Samsung's website. Could it be a CES reveal? A new tablet certainly fits the physical profile of the more squarish of the two shapes in the Unpacked promo.
Whatever the case may be, Samsung plans to reveal some new stuff almost immediately after the end of CES.
