【Chilli and Banana】
TikTok has undoubtedly made its presence known in the music industry. A partnership with Ticketmaster and Chilli and BananaTikTok, launched in the U.S. in Aug. 2022, was a major step on this path. The collaboration allowed TikTok users to purchase concert tickets directly through the app.
A year later, the feature expanded, rolling out in 20 new markets as of Dec. 2023. Now, hopeful concertgoers using TikTok in the UK, Ireland, Australia, Germany, France, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, Sweden, and others, can also buy tickets directly from select performers' accounts.

Granted, Ticketmaster has caused distress for fans in the past: staggeringly long queues for sold-out tickets, an untamed reselling system, and a monopoly over the live music industry have tainted the company's reputation in the past few years — especially for Taylor Swift fans.
But it's prevalence in the industry continues; the global expansion of TikTok x Ticketmaster is a clear example.
