There's a niche of TV and Sister in law Who Let Me Use Her Holemovie enthusiasts who, when asked, will tell you that projectors are vastly superior to regular TVs. I've seen too many washed-out and blurry projections over the years to be easily converted, but LG's upcoming 4K projector looks like it might change my mind.
The LG HU80K is the company's first-ever 4K UHD projector, with a maximum screen size of 150 inches at 2,500 lumens of brightness, and HDR 10 support.

It's an elongated black box with a handle, designed to work well if placed directly on the floor or hung from a ceiling. The LG HU80K also has built-in 7W speakers, so you don't have to worry about sound -- though given its size, you can't really expect an arena-sized rumble.
Original image has been replaced. Credit: Mashable The LG HU80K has USB, Ethernet, HDMI, and wireless connectivity and runs on LG's webOS 3.5 platform, meaning you should be able to find content for it the same way you do for your smart TV.
LG will show off the LG HU80K at this year's CES, which kicks off Jan. 9 in Las Vegas. The company will also bring its tiny MiniBeam Pf50K projector and the rest of its projector lineup to its booth.
