【colonial desire and the poetics of eroticism】
So,colonial desire and the poetics of eroticism fidget spinners are apparently not quite over yet. Ugh.
From $17,000 gold-plated ones to ridiculous iPhones that have been converted into spinners, we've seen them all. But now there's a working phone that's a also a fidget spinner. Or is it a fidget spinner that doubles as a working phone?
SEE ALSO: Just when you thought fidget spinners were done, someone made a freaking DIY lightsaber out of themMade by Chilli's International (not to be confused with Chili's Grill and Bar), this fidget spinner phone surfaced on Reddit (via The Verge) on Monday, and needless to say, we're not sure how to feel about it.
A fidget spinner phone. from ofcoursethatsathing
Can you believe this? It's friggin' 2017, and you can buy tiny phones with horrible specs -- it has a 1.4-inch screen and comes with 32MB of storage (expandable up to 8GB via microSD card) -- but at least you can spin them!
And it comes in six colors. In your face, iPhone 8! And it only costs $20. And it has a removable battery and Bluetooth.
Get it to troll your friends.
In all seriousness, this thing is a toy. Maybe you get it for your kid or just to troll all your friends (it's definitely a conversation starter), but you won't be getting any real work done with it. It has no apps and with such a puny display, you already know the built-in web browser is gonna be crap.
PhoneRadarreviewed the phone in September and ran through some of the features. You can check out their comprehensive video review here (note: it's in Hindi), but if this GIF basically summarizes it all:

And if you really want to justify the purchase, just remember that there are fidget spinners that cost $20 that aren'tworking phones.
