【Frauen ohne Unschuld】
In 2016,Frauen ohne Unschuld Kanye West kept fans at the edge of their seats when he continuously updated The Life of Pablowell after the album's official release date.
Turns out he's using the same tactic with his latest project, Ye.
It's been less than a week since the album dropped, and new lyrics have been added to the clean version of the opening track, "I Thought About Killing You."
SEE ALSO: Kanye West's clip of his daughter singing may be the only good thing he's tweeted recently"Buckwheat ass n****, it's 'gon be otay / Sorry, but I chose not to be no slave," West raps in the updated lyrics. The added line — about choosing not to be a slave — is a reference to West's controversial comments during his visit to the TMZ offices in May.
"When you hear about slavery for 400 years. For 400 years?! That sounds like a choice," he said during 'TMZ Live.'"
The newest version of the song hit the internet on June 5, but fans, and the hip hop outlet Hip Hop N More, seemingly didn't notice the change until June 7. The new lyrics do not appear on the explicit version of "I Thought About Killing You" that still appears on streaming services.
On Wednesday, video of a conversation with Kim Kardashian at the Ye listening party in Wyoming was shared by Power 106 Los Angeles. During her exchange with the radio personalities, Kim revealed that she'd told West to remove a line before the album's official release. Whether she was referencing the slavery line or it was mistakenly included in the clean version is unknown.
