The claims of sexism in the award process highlight the fact that only 48 women were awarded a Nobel Prize between 1901 and 2015. And although 14 women have received the Nobel Prize in Literature during that time, people are still unimpressed.

Nobel Prize in Physics, David J. Thouless, F. Duncan M. Haldane and J. Michael Kosterlitz
Nobel Prize in Chemistry, Jean-Pierre Sauvage, J. Fraser Stoddart and Bernard L. Feringa
Nobel Peace Prize, President Juan Manuel Santos of Colombia
Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Science, Oliver Hart and Bengt Holmstrom
The laureates will receive their awards in Stockholm on Dec. 10.
