A man in New Zealand is currently facing criticism after posting photos of his daughter biting into a deer heart.

The photos were posted to the now defunct NZ Woman Hunters Facebook page. The images, shown below, were quite graphic.

Original image has been replaced. Credit: Mashable As Johny told Buzzfeed News, "Chloe has been coming hunting with me since she was eight months old on a front pack. This was her first deer."
Apparently, their spirits were not detered by the response. “I’d quote the saying ‘lions do not care of the opinions of sheep’. She wanted to do it when she saw a picture of her uncle biting the heart of his first deer.”
He continued to explain his decision to let his daughter eat a heart, saying, “We’re not too serious about it; it’s something some hunters do with the first kill. I wouldn’t say [it is] ritualistic, but she is a hunter now.”
