【sex ed birth video】
Amber Rose — host of the annual Slutwalk, sex ed birth video which celebrates women's rights and works to put an end to rape culture — is all about female empowerment. So it should come as no surprise that she had quite a few thoughts about Cam Newton's recent sexist remarks to a female sports journalist.
On Wednesday, the Carolina Panthers quarterback told Jourdan Rodrigue, sports journalist at the Charlotte Observer, "It's funny to hear a female talk about routes like — it's funny." As a result, the NFL player received a great deal of backlash, even losing his sponsorship from Dannon.
And after seeing the video of Newton's remarks, Rose swiftly hopped on Instagram to respond as well.

But rather than strictly condemn his actions, Rose acknowledged that this behavior stems from a much bigger issue.
"This is why we need to continue to educate our boys... let's not get mad at him and understand that society taught him to think this way his entire life," she began.

"That we as women are not as smart as men, that we are incapable of liking or being knowledgeable about sports because we have a vagina. Truly it is not his fault for thinking this way but unfortunately for him there has to be consequences in order to bring change," she went on.
Rose signed her message, "Love Always- Captain Save a Hoe" — her Slutwallk 2017 alter ego. You go, girl!

Rodrigue — the reporter who asked Newton the question — also addressed the incident on Twitter, reminding everyone that talking about sports is literally her job.

In addition to gender equality, perhaps Newton should add sports journalism to the list of things he needs to educate himself on.
